Interstate Waste Services (IWS) is the most progressive and innovative provider of solid waste and recycling services in the greater New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut markets, featuring a rail-served landfill in Ohio. Founded in 1998, IWS has grown through the acquisition of many family-owned businesses, which remain integral parts of our team today. We pride ourselves on combining the resources of a large corporation with the values and care of a family-run business.
Our mission is to deliver high-quality waste, recycling, and environmental services while prioritizing the safety of our employees, customers, and communities. We cater to a diverse range of industrial, medical, and commercial/residential customers.
As a Fleet Technology Technician, you will serve as the first line of support for all onboard truck technology and related hardware. Your role is critical to ensuring the safe and productive operation of our fleet assets through the efficient performance of daily department activities.
You will be the bridge between our drivers and their technology, assisting with problems via phone, email, remote support, site visits, or while traveling along the driver's route. This position requires a proactive approach to user issues, ensuring high standards of customer service and the seamless integration of technology into vehicle interiors. From installing route tablets and video cameras to managing complex wiring and Bluetooth devices, you will maintain the integrity of vehicle operations while adhering to strict safety and compliance standards.
