The Roll-Off Driver is the frontline of our waste removal operations, responsible for safely and efficiently serving customers across multiple business lines. In this role, you will collect waste from customer sites and transport it to post-collection facilities for proper disposal. Your work ensures that our clients receive courteous service while maintaining the highest standards of operational safety and environmental compliance.
Your day begins with thorough pre-trip safety inspections and documentation to ensure the truck and ancillary equipment are ready for the road. You will navigate various routes, operating the roll-off truck with precision to eliminate mechanical failures and adhere to prescribed techniques. Throughout the day, you will interact with customers and the general public, maintaining a professional demeanor and appearance at all times.
The role requires constant vigilance regarding safety standards, including the immediate reporting of potential hazards, accidents, or vehicle mechanical issues to your supervisor. You will also be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the vehicle cab and exterior, as well as keeping accurate records of services performed. While the primary function involves sitting and driving, the position demands adaptability to work in outdoor environments, often in loud conditions and varying weather, from extreme heat to rain and storms.
