The Extra Corporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) Coordinator plans, develops, implements, and manages the Adult ECMO program. This role involves oversight of patient care activities, revision of clinical policies and procedures, and collaborative responsibility for maintaining the quality of ECMO services. The Coordinator works closely with the multidisciplinary team across the continuum from the time a patient is placed on ECMO until discharge. This position also has accountability for coordination of activities including patient education, staff education, surgical coordination, and data collection.
