As an RN in our Medical/Surgical and Special Care Unit (SCU), you will serve as a vital member of a dedicated team committed to delivering evidence-based, outcome-oriented patient care. This role is designed for a nurse who thrives in a dynamic environment where rapid assessment and precise intervention are critical to patient safety and recovery.
You will utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, direct, and evaluate care for a diverse patient population. Your day will involve managing complex patient needs, overseeing the quality of care provided by CNAs and other personnel, and collaborating closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. From administering medications and managing IV therapies to interpreting telemetry data and identifying arrhythmias, you will be the frontline advocate for patients during their most vulnerable moments.
We are dedicated to maintaining an environment that optimizes patient safety and minimizes healthcare errors. Our team values clear communication, adaptability, and the ability to work independently while functioning seamlessly within a collaborative unit. We expect our nurses to respond quickly to changes in patient conditions and to uphold the highest standards of documentation and safety protocols.
To join our team, candidates must hold a current Illinois RN License and possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. While we prefer candidates with a minimum of two years of registered nursing experience, we are committed to supporting your growth: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is required within 12 months of hire, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification is required within two years. Strong proficiency with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems is essential for navigating our digital care environment.
We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
