Advocate Health is the third-largest nonprofit, integrated health system in the United States, formed from the combination of Advocate Aurora Health and Atrium Health. Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, the system serves nearly 6 million patients across 69 hospitals and over 1,000 care locations. We are a national leader in clinical innovation, health outcomes, and value-based care, with recognized expertise in cardiology, neurosciences, oncology, pediatrics, rehabilitation, organ transplants, and burn treatments.
At Advocate Health, being a nurse means more than delivering exceptional clinical care—it means leading with purpose, compassion, and boldness. As part of our One Advocate Nurse community, you will join a unified team committed to lifting others up, embracing innovation, and creating inclusive spaces where everyone can thrive. We empower our nurses to think boldly, collaborate with humility, and drive change through fearless curiosity. Your feedback is vital in shaping our culture and improving care; every nurse's voice helps us grow stronger together.
You will serve as a Registered Nurse within the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center (CMC). This location is the flagship hospital of Atrium Health and the region's only Level 1 trauma center. It is also a Magnet-designated facility and an approved transplant center for heart, kidney, pancreas, and liver. As an Academic Medical Center Teaching Hospital, CMC provides residency training for over 200 physicians in 15 specialties and serves as a regional campus for Wake Forest University School of Medicine.
In this pivotal role, you will provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, delivering safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards. You will utilize evidence-based practice and clinical decision-making to lead efforts in creating the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum. Your work will be characterized by compassion and skilled communication, ensuring high-quality care for patients recovering from anesthesia and surgery.
