About the Role

As a Teacher in Russell Independent Schools, you will serve as a vital guide in shaping the academic and personal growth of your students. This role is designed for an educator who is committed to fostering a classroom environment built on respect, rapport, and positive behavior supports. You will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons aligned with Kentucky Academic Standards, ensuring that instruction meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of every learner.

Your day-to-day impact extends beyond the classroom walls. You will be expected to maintain clear communication with families regarding student progress and instructional programs, while also collaborating with colleagues on staff committees and school initiatives. By incorporating technology into daily instruction and adhering to professional codes of ethics, you will help promote positive public relations and a safe, structured learning atmosphere for all students.

Hiring Process & Application

Candidates must hold a valid State Teaching Certificate for the specific subject area and/or grade level. The selection process includes a review of qualifications and may involve alternatives to standard qualifications as deemed appropriate by the Board of Education. All successful candidates must satisfactorily complete a state-mandated health examination.
