About the Role
The Retail Rescue Specialist plays a pivotal role in securing donated food from retailers by directly engaging retail partners and facilitating relationships between retailers and partner agencies. This position is designed to maximize donations and program participation by stewarding Food Rescue donors while maintaining rigorous program standards.
Based in a remote setting with 1–2 in-office days per week, the Specialist works to expand the reach of the Food Rescue Program. The role involves a dynamic mix of field engagement, strategic planning, and partnership management. You will collaborate with the Retail Rescue Manager and team members to increase donor program participation, calling on multiple donor sites per week to engage retail staff members. The position requires a self-starter who can work independently under minimal supervision, utilizing excellent attention to detail and follow-through to manage donor and agency contact information in multiple databases.

Requirements
