About the Role

As a Restaurant General Manager (RGM), you provide the overall leadership and direct supervision for a single Taco Bell unit. You are the driving force behind an organized, efficient, and profitable operation, accountable for maintaining high standards in cleanliness, hospitality, accuracy, building maintenance, product quality, and speed of service.

This role is not just about management; it is deeply hands-on. You will actively perform operational tasks to train employees, respond to guest service needs, and role-model the appropriate skills and behaviors for your team. Your success is measured by your ability to drive sales growth, control costs, and foster a positive work environment where staff are developed and treated well.

What You'll Experience

In this fast-paced environment, you will manage the full spectrum of restaurant operations. You will ensure adequate staffing levels across all shifts, conduct performance appraisals for crew and managers, and lead the hiring process for new team members. Your day involves coaching and counseling your team to meet certification and performance levels while ensuring strict compliance with food safety, sanitation, and employment laws.

You will also be responsible for the physical environment, verifying that the restaurant is safe for both employees and guests and overseeing preventative maintenance for all equipment. A key part of your role is delivering excellent guest service on every shift, handling complaints effectively to facilitate repeat business, and providing timely feedback to your area coach on operating results.

Hiring Process

We prioritize internal growth and look for strong preference for candidates promoted from the Assistant General Manager (AGM) position who have completed all required learning zone training and certifications. However, qualified external candidates with a minimum of 6 months in a supervisory role within a service-related business are encouraged to apply.

To be considered, you must be at least 18 years old, possess a high school diploma or GED (undergraduate degree preferred), and have the legal right to work in the United States. You must demonstrate excellent communication, planning, and conflict resolution skills, along with the flexibility to work all shifts and handle rapid change.
