This Research Assistant position supports the faculty-led project "Business-State Relations in Authoritarian Regimes" under the supervision of Professor William Milberg. The role is designed to provide essential research and logistical support to the Heilbroner Center for Capitalism Studies.
In this capacity, you will engage directly with the research process, assisting with literature reviews, data collection, and basic analysis. You will also play a key role in the Center's community engagement by helping to organize and support events, conferences, and workshops. This includes on-site coordination, registration, audio-visual support, and facilitating speaker interactions. The position requires active participation in bi-weekly research meetings to discuss progress and receive feedback, ensuring seamless collaboration with the research team.
This is an in-person role based on campus to support effective collaboration and engagement. The assignment requires a commitment of 10 hours per week. While hybrid or remote arrangements may be considered on a case-by-case basis depending on operational needs, any such arrangement must be discussed and approved in advance by the appropriate division lead.
We look forward to receiving your application. Please note that this position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement between SENS-UAW, Local 7902, and the University.
