Job Description
About Talkiatry
Talkiatry is a virtual mental health practice built by clinicians, for clinicians. Our care model, workflows, and infrastructure are intentionally designed to support high-quality outpatient care and expand access to patients with the care they need.
Talkiatry was founded in 2020 by Dr. Georgia Gaveras, a triple board-certified psychiatrist in adult, child and adolescent psychiatry, and Robert Krayn, a patient who experienced firsthand the challenges of accessing care. Together, they set out to reimagine outpatient psychiatry by building a model that supports both patients and clinicians, while expanding access to mental healthcare.
Our clinical community includes 700+ psychiatrists and PMHNPs and 300+ therapists practicing across 32 languages.
The Role
This role is designed for clinicians who value delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to patients in a sustainable environment. Our outpatient therapy model is intentionally built for virtual care, not retrofitted from inpatient or hospital systems, allowing you to deliver thoughtful and structured care.
You will practice independently, with accessible clinical leadership available for consultation and support. Our role is to remove administrative work so you can focus on patient care. This model works best for clinicians who value independent treatment decision-making and clinical autonomy within evidence-based standards.
Day-to-Day Practice
As a Remote Therapist, you will engage in 100% remote, outpatient therapy. You will work with lower to moderate acuity populations, including patients with anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, mood disorders, OCD, and other conditions.
Your day-to-day involves standard session lengths, including 60-minute intakes and follow-ups. You will maintain a consistent outpatient caseload with defined, transparent goals. This role does not include inpatient, IOP/PHP, or crisis-call responsibilities. You will have access to an in-house referral network to/from psychiatrists and full operational support, including scheduling, billing, intake coordination, credentialing, and licensing.
Culture and Support
We provide clear expectations around caseload, documentation, and pace. You will have input into your schedule and weekly availability within operational guidelines. Care expectations are shaped by practicing clinicians, reinforcing professional judgment and shared accountability for quality.
