Job Description
About Talkiatry
Talkiatry is a virtual mental health practice built by clinicians, for clinicians. Our care model, workflows, and infrastructure are intentionally designed to support high-quality outpatient care and expand access to patients with the care they need.
Founded in 2020 by Dr. Georgia Gaveras, a triple board-certified psychiatrist in adult, child and adolescent psychiatry, and Robert Krayn, a patient who experienced firsthand the challenges of accessing care, Talkiatry set out to reimagine outpatient psychiatry. Together, they built a model that supports both patients and clinicians while expanding access to mental healthcare.
Our clinical community includes 700+ psychiatrists and PMHNPs and 300+ therapists practicing across 32 languages.
The Role
This role is designed for clinicians who value delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to patients in a sustainable environment. You will practice independently, with accessible clinical leadership available for consultation and support. Our role is to remove administrative work so you can focus on patient care.
What Your Day-to-Day Practice Looks Like
You will provide 100% remote, outpatient therapy to lower to moderate acuity populations, including patients with anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, mood disorders, OCD, and others. The role features standard session lengths (60-minute intakes and follow-ups) and a consistent outpatient caseload with defined, transparent goals.
Unlike models retrofitted from inpatient or hospital systems, our outpatient therapy model is intentionally built for virtual care. This allows you to deliver thoughtful and structured care without inpatient, IOP/PHP, or crisis-call responsibilities. You will have access to an in-house referral network to/from psychiatrists and full operational support including scheduling, billing, intake coordination, credentialing, and licensing.
Clinical Autonomy & Flexibility
You will have independent treatment decision-making and input into your schedule and weekly availability within operational guidelines. Your clinical approach will be within evidence-based standards, with care expectations shaped by practicing clinicians to reinforce professional judgment and shared accountability for quality.
Who We Are Looking For
We are seeking independently licensed therapists (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LMHC, or equivalent) with active, unrestricted licenses. While multi-state licensing support is available, we generally look for candidates with two or more independent and active state licenses (except for CA, NY, and MA).
This role is not designed for clinicians seeking supervision toward licensure or those looking to build a fully self-directed 1099/Private Practice. You will be a part of our team!
Compensation, Benefits & Stability
We offer full-time and part-time W-2 employment with predictable compensation and full benefits. Therapists with a CA license in hand are eligible for a base salary of $90K+ with monthly productivity incentives, while others have the ability to earn up to $20k in incentives on top of a $70k base. Tenure-based increases are available after 2 years.
Benefits include employer-paid health, dental, and vision insurance (up to 100% of premiums), a 401(k) match with employer match, paid time off (PTO), paid sick time, 11 paid holidays, and paid parental leave. We also offer long-term retention benefits, such as a 4-week paid sabbatical after 5 years, occurrence-based malpractice coverage (100% employer-paid), CME reimbursement and dedicated CME days, licensing support with upfront coverage of costs, and a provided technology package.
