Remote Biology Researcher (PhD)

Role Overview

We are seeking PhD-level experts in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or closely related disciplines to join a fully remote contract opportunity. This role offers the chance to collaborate with top-tier AI laboratories on cutting-edge projects. You will earn a competitive rate of $50+ per hour with flexible weekly hours. Prior experience with artificial intelligence is not required.

In this position, you will leverage your specialized biological knowledge to fine-tune large language models, such as ChatGPT. Your primary focus will involve designing complex problems, evaluating how effectively AI systems solve them, and partnering with researchers to develop robust benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities

• Create advanced biology questions designed to assess AI performance.

• Develop comprehensive, step-by-step solutions that demonstrate rigorous logical reasoning.

• Evaluate AI-generated outputs for accuracy and the quality of their reasoning processes.

• Collaborate with research teams to refine benchmarks covering biology topics ranging from undergraduate to PhD-level complexity.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Hold a PhD degree, whether currently pursuing or already completed, in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related field.

• Possess strong reasoning and problem-solving skills within advanced biological domains.

• Demonstrate the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly in writing and provide structured, actionable feedback.

• No prior AI experience is necessary.

Compensation and Work Details

• Pay Rate: $50+ per hour, with the specific rate depending on the role and candidate expertise.

• Schedule: Fully remote with flexible working hours. Contract roles have defined start and end dates, allowing for up to 40 hours per week.

• Assessment Process: Shortlisted candidates will complete an evaluation prior to selection.
