Relief Counselors serve as essential support staff within BAMSI's residential and day services, providing rehabilitative care to adults in Group Living Environments. As Casual Agreement Employees, you will work on an as-needed basis, adapting to varying hours and locations to meet the dynamic needs of our residents and the organization.
This role is dedicated to fostering independence and community integration. You will partner with clinicians to implement treatment plans, teaching essential daily living skills such as cooking, budgeting, and medication management. Beyond direct care, you will advocate for residents' needs, model healthy coping strategies, and ensure a safe, supportive home environment.
At BAMSI, we value your unique background just as much as your resume. We are committed to fostering a growth mindset and will invest in your professional development through comprehensive training. Our approach is rooted in compassion, patience, and a deep commitment to trauma-informed care.
Relief Counselors are required to complete all mandatory trainings within their first 60 days of employment. You will not be eligible to work shifts until these requirements are met, and you must keep all training current throughout your tenure.
BAMSI is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion. We welcome applicants with lived experience and multilingual abilities, including Spanish and Portuguese, to join our team.
