About the Role

As a Registered Nurse in Surgical Ortho Trauma, your voice to influence patient care is valued and empowered at every turn. Whether through open, collaborative relationships with your direct manager or more formal opportunities through hospital councils and national nursing initiatives, you will help shape decisions that elevate both patient outcomes and the future of nursing.

In this PRN role, you will provide prescribed medical treatment and personal care services to ill and injured patients. You will assess patient conditions during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting changes in status. Your day will involve performing procedures and monitoring as ordered by medical providers, administering medications, and ensuring thorough documentation in the patient's medical record. You will also provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests and proactively anticipating needs. A key part of your role involves educating patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, and medications, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology.
