About the Role

As a Registered Nurse on the Labor & Delivery Night Shift, you will provide nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards. You will serve as an individual practitioner and interdisciplinary team manager, utilizing the nursing process to integrate all aspects of care and individualize plans to address specific patient needs.

Your day will involve ensuring safety in practice through evidence-based principles, maintaining awareness of your own knowledge level, and assuming responsibility for advancing the knowledge of the patient care team. You will supervise and direct the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members while collaborating with other providers. A key part of your role includes consistently setting and evaluating priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes, as well as reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments or medical errors.
