As a Registered Nurse (RN), you become the engine and heart of patient care at Rochester Regional Health. You make a positive difference every single day in the lives of our patients, their family members, and visitors, going above and beyond to meet their needs with courtesy, kindness, respect, and compassion.
The Non-Invasive Cardiology Team at Rochester General Hospital delivers a comprehensive range of advanced diagnostic services, combining cutting-edge technology with expert clinical care. The team specializes in minimally invasive and non-invasive cardiac testing, including angiograms, electrocardiograms, echocardiograms, stress testing, and nuclear cardiology studies. With a strong focus on precision, safety, and patient-centered care, the department plays a critical role in the early detection, evaluation, and management of cardiovascular conditions.
This full-time position operates within the Cardiac Cath Lab, primarily on days with some weekend requirements, and includes on-call duties. The role is designed for nurses who are passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centered clinical care in a specialized cardiac environment. You will be responsible for performing initial and ongoing patient assessments, developing individualized plans of care, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for patients with cardiovascular conditions.
The position offers a Clinical Ladder structure (Levels I-IV) that allows for professional growth. Your level at the time of hire will be determined based on your qualifications and ability to meet specific requirements, which include demonstrating clinical and leadership skills, completing continuing education units, and engaging in activities related to leadership, quality, and organizational contribution. This framework supports your development as you advance from entry-level practice to expanded leadership roles such as charge nurse, preceptor, or mentor.
Candidates are evaluated based on their qualifications and ability to meet the Clinical Ladder requirements. The hiring process involves reviewing your experience, education, and licensure to determine the appropriate starting level within the organization's career progression framework.
