As a Registered Nurse on the Nursing floor, you will serve as a vital member of our medical team, providing professional nursing care to patients in accordance with established procedures. This role is designed to coordinate care planning across disciplines, ensuring a seamless and therapeutic experience for patients and their families.
You will work cooperatively with all hospital departments and the medical staff to maintain a safe, comfortable environment. Your day-to-day responsibilities include assessing patient conditions, developing individual care plans, and administering medications, including narcotics. You will also monitor patient medical conditions, document care accurately, and adjust nursing processes to ensure optimal outcomes.
In this capacity, you will act as a liaison between patients, families, and the broader medical team. This involves assisting physicians with examinations and procedures, arranging diagnostic and therapeutic services, and preparing patients for continuing care after discharge. You will also play a key role in the professional development of the team by orienting, instructing, and training LPNs and Nursing Assistants.
This is a night shift position, operating from 4:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. The role requires a high degree of sensitivity to patient comfort and privacy, as well as the ability to maintain emotional stability and professionalism in a dynamic healthcare setting.
