As a Resource RN, you will care for a mixed population of patients across the UVM Medical Center. Our team is comprised of RNs and LNAs who float between different units to help cover inpatient staffing needs. As a department, we support up to 20 different units ranging from Medical-Surgical, Cardiology/Telemetry, Critical Care, to Maternal Child. You'll find yourself using your broad range of skills and depth of experience on a variety of inpatient units.
You'll work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to provide patients with the highest quality care. Our leadership team provides training and support to ensure that you have the tools and knowledge that you need to thrive in this one-of-a-kind unit. We are committed to great patient ratios, have made significant investments in safe patient handling and mobility equipment, and ensure our nurses truly have a voice through shared governance. Our team culture is unlike what you'll find at other hospitals, where we encourage professional growth, offer structured preceptorships, and ensure our nurses feel valued.
