Baird 4 is one of three General Medicine Units at the University of Vermont Medical Center. We care for patients with acute and chronic multi-system health needs, including respiratory disease, renal and dialysis patients, diabetes, wound care, alcohol withdrawal, substance use disorders, various GI disorders, coagulopathies, and infectious disease. Baird 4 is the only floor outside the ICU that cares for trach and ventilator-dependent adults.
