Role Overview
OpenLoop is seeking Registered Dietitians to join our team in a remote capacity. In this role, you will play a key part in expanding our virtual patient pathways. You will deliver evidence-based medical nutrition therapy and coaching in collaboration with OpenLoop clinicians, supporting patients on both lifestyle-only and medication-assisted treatment pathways.
Key Responsibilities

- Behavioral Coaching: Deliver techniques including motivational interviewing, goal-setting, problem-solving, and relapse prevention.
- Specialized Nutrition Strategies: Coach patients on GLP-1/GIP and other anti-obesity medication (AOM) nutrition strategies. This includes managing satiety, protein targets, fiber intake, hydration, gastrointestinal side effects, and micronutrients. Additionally, provide guidance on non-pharmacologic weight-loss approaches.
- Clinical Coordination: Collaborate with prescribers to align nutrition plans with medication initiation and titration, laboratory results, and comorbidity management.
- Patient Monitoring and Communication: Utilize OpenLoop platforms for self-monitoring tools such as weight tracking, food logs, and activity logs. Provide asynchronous micro-coaching and messages between visits where contracted.
- Risk Management: Screen patients for disordered eating risks and escalate concerns when indicated. Make warm referrals to behavioral health or specialty care services in accordance with established protocols.
- Documentation and Compliance: Maintain timely, clear notes, patient goals, and education records within OpenLoop’s Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. Track outcomes and patient-reported measures.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in quality reviews and case rounds. Contribute to the development of patient education content and the refinement of clinical protocols.
