Micron's Registered Apprenticeship Program offers a unique "earn and learn" model, combining on-the-job training with classroom education to help you launch a long-term career in semiconductor manufacturing. Based in our world-class Technology Development Fab in Boise, Idaho, you will be placed into one of two distinct technician pathways based on your interests and strengths:
This program is designed for individuals who enjoy working with technology, solving problems, and understanding how systems and processes work together. You will partner with production, engineering, and technician teams to support daily fab operations, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement efforts.
Participating in this program allows you to earn a U.S. Department of Labor–recognized credential while gaining valuable hands-on experience. You will pursue and complete an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in STEM-focused Manufacturing Technology or Advanced Mechatronics Technology (AMET) through the College of Western Idaho. Upon completion, you will have a clear pathway for career growth and advancement within Micron's technician and engineering organizations.
