We specialize in hauling an assortment of specialized freight across the United States using flatbed and stepdeck trailers. Our dispatch team is dedicated to working with you to keep you in preferred lanes and ensure you get consistent home time.
The Role
As a CDL A Flatbed Driver, you will be responsible for transporting specialized freight across the country. Whether you are driving solo or as part of a team, you will have access to modern equipment, including ElitePass-equipped trucks and Transflo for streamlined paperwork. We offer a supportive environment where pets are welcome, and we provide a Rider Program for your family.
Compensation and Benefits
We believe in rewarding our drivers with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits. Solo drivers earn 28% of line haul, with an average pay per mile of $0.62 CPM. Compensation is paid weekly via direct deposit.
Our benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision insurance starting after just 30 days, along with long-term and short-term disability coverage. We also offer voluntary and company-paid life insurance, a 401(k) with a company match, and paid time off. New drivers can take advantage of a $3,000 sign-on bonus paid out over 90 days, plus a paid orientation week worth $500. After six months, eligible drivers may explore a lease purchase option.
Hiring Process
To join the Baggett team, candidates must meet specific criteria regarding age, driving experience, and safety records. Applicants must be at least 25 years old with one year of over-the-road driving experience in the last five years and must pass a DOT physical. We maintain strict standards for driving history, including limits on speeding violations, moving violations, and preventable accidents. Additionally, all drivers must pass drug and alcohol testing.
For team drivers, there are additional requirements regarding Secret Clearance, including U.S. citizenship and specific financial and criminal history standards. Once you meet these qualifications, you can begin your journey with us and take control of your career path.
