About the Role

This position offers a unique opportunity for CDL A Flatbed drivers to take control of their professional journey. Whether you are driving solo or as part of a team, you will be equipped with modern technology, including Transflo for paperwork and ElitePass in the trucks. We foster a driver-centric culture that welcomes riders and pets, providing a supportive environment for your daily operations.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package designed to reward your experience and commitment. Solo drivers earn 28% of line haul with an average pay per mile of $0.62 CPM. Compensation is paid weekly via direct deposit.

Our benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision insurance starting after just 30 days, along with long-term and short-term disability coverage. We also provide voluntary and company-paid life insurance, a 401(k) with a company match, and paid time off. New drivers can take advantage of a $3,000 sign-on bonus paid out over 90 days, plus a paid orientation week worth $500. After six months, drivers who meet specific criteria may explore a lease purchase option.

Hiring Process

To qualify with Baggett Transportation, candidates must meet strict safety and experience criteria. This includes being at least 25 years of age with one year of over-the-road driving experience in the last five years. Applicants must pass a DOT physical and adhere to our comprehensive drug policy, which includes random, pre-employment, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion testing.

We maintain high standards for driving records, requiring candidates to have no DUI or DWI, no speeding tickets 15 mph over the limit, and specific limits on moving violations and preventable accidents. Team drivers with Secret Clearance requirements must be U.S. Citizens with no felony convictions, bankruptcy, or dishonorable discharge in the last seven years.
