About the Role

As a Regional Medical Director (RMD), you will serve as a clinical partner to veterinarians and hospitals in the Los Angeles and Las Vegas areas. This role is designed for a veterinarian who enjoys mentoring doctors, strengthening hospital teams, and helping practices grow while maintaining high medical quality.

Unlike traditional oversight roles, our RMDs focus on supporting hospitals rather than managing them from a distance. You will work alongside a Regional Operations Director to align medical leadership with hospital success, ensuring doctors feel trusted, connected, and supported. The role blends mentorship, collaboration, and strategic leadership to help shape the veterinary culture of the region, supporting great hospitals and helping veterinarians build long-term, fulfilling careers.

The First Year

Your journey begins by building relationships with veterinarians and hospital teams while learning the strengths and opportunities of each hospital in the region. Over the first 90 days, you will establish a foundation for trust and understanding. Between months 3 and 6, you will establish regular doctor collaboration and mentorship, support hospital teams with clinical resources, and assist with recruiting and onboarding veterinarians. By the 12-month mark, you will have strengthened collaboration across hospitals, supported service expansion where appropriate, and helped develop emerging medical leaders within the region.
