About the Role
Clean Harbors is seeking a Regional Class A Tanker Driver to join a safety-conscious team based in Dolton, IL. This position offers a route spanning Dolton, IL to WI, IL, IA, and IN, with an average of 60 hours per week. Drivers can expect to be home most evenings, though the role requires willingness to stay out overnight 1-2 nights per week to meet operational needs.
Health and safety are the number one priorities for this team. Drivers will operate tractor-trailer tanker units, ensuring proper utilization and adherence to weight regulations. The role involves the safe loading and unloading of both hazardous and non-hazardous waste, securing loads, and placarding vehicles in strict accordance with Company and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements. Additionally, drivers are responsible for maintaining accurate daily logs, time sheets, expense reports, dispatch and trip reports, and vehicle inspection reports.
