About the Role
Ace Hardware Stockers and Receivers play a vital role in keeping our stores organized and ready for customers. As a Receiver/Stocker, you will be responsible for the backbone of our inventory management: receiving shipments, unloading trucks, and organizing stock, and ensuring shelves are fully stocked. Your work ensures that our sales floor is prepared for opening and that our warehouse remains efficient and safe.
Day in the Life
Your day will involve a mix of physical activity and organizational tasks. You will receive and process incoming shipments, often focusing on large deliveries during overnight shifts. This includes unloading trucks, moving inventory to the stockroom, and building product displays. You will also perform inventory counts and maintain the cleanliness and organization of both the warehouse and the sales floor. The role may require lifting heavy items and operating equipment and using pallet jacks to move goods.
