About the Role
Ace Hardware Stockers and Receivers play a vital role in maintaining the operational flow of the store. This position is responsible for ensuring that inventory is received, organized, and ready for customers. The role involves a mix of warehouse management and sales floor support, requiring physical stamina and attention to detail.
Day in the Life
Stockers and Receivers handle the receipt of shipments, which includes unloading trucks and organizing inventory in the stockroom. A key part of the role is stocking shelves and building product displays to ensure the sales floor is visually appealing and well-stocked. The position also involves performing inventory counts and keeping both the warehouse and sales floor organized.
Overnight shifts focus on managing large shipments and preparing the store for opening the next day. This may require lifting heavy items and operating equipment such as pallet jacks.
