Receiver/Stocker

About the Role

Ace Hardware Stockers and Receivers play a vital role in maintaining the operational efficiency and visual appeal of our retail environment. This position is responsible for the end-to-end management of inventory flow, from the moment shipments arrive to their placement on the sales floor. The role ensures that the store is well-stocked, organized, and ready to serve customers with a wide variety of hardware and home improvement products.

Day in the Life

The daily routine involves a mix of physical activity and organizational precision. Key activities include:

• Receiving and Unloading: Processing incoming shipments and unloading trucks to ensure timely inventory availability.
• Inventory Management: Organizing stockrooms, performing inventory counts, and maintaining accurate records of product levels.
• Stocking and Display: Stocking shelves and building attractive product displays to enhance the customer shopping experience.
• Warehouse Maintenance: Keeping both the warehouse and sales floor clean, organized, and safe.

Shift Information

Overnight shifts are available and focus on handling large shipments, extensive stocking, and preparing the store for the next day's opening. These shifts may include an additional pay differential depending on the location.

Physical Requirements

This position may require lifting heavy items and operating equipment such as pallet jacks. Candidates should be prepared for the physical demands of the role.

Compensation and Benefits

The position typically pays $16–$20 per hour. Overnight stocking shifts may include an additional $1–$2 per hour overnight pay differential depending on location.
