About the Role
Ace Hardware Stockers and Receivers play a vital role in maintaining the operational backbone of our retail environment. This position is responsible for ensuring that our shelves are stocked, our inventory is accurate, and our store is ready for customers. The role involves a mix of warehouse management and sales floor support, requiring physical stamina and attention to detail.
Day in the Life
As a Receiver/Stocker, your day typically involves receiving shipments, unloading trucks, and organizing inventory in the stockroom. You will be responsible for stocking shelves, building product displays, and maintaining product displays, and performing regular inventory counts. Keeping the warehouse and sales floor organized is a key part of the job.
Overnight shifts focus on large shipments, extensive stocking operations and preparing the store for the next day. This may involve lifting heavy items and operating equipment such as pallet jacks. The position is physically demanding and requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
