About the Role
Ace Hardware Stockers and Receivers play a vital role in maintaining the operational flow of the store. This position is responsible for ensuring that inventory is received, organized, and displayed effectively to support the sales floor. The role involves a mix of warehouse management and retail presentation, requiring attention to detail and physical stamina.
Day in the Life
Stockers and Receivers handle the receipt of shipments, which includes unloading trucks and organizing inventory in the stockroom. The work involves stocking shelves, building product displays, and maintaining product displays, and performing regular inventory counts to ensure accuracy. Keeping both the warehouse and sales floor organized is a key part of the daily routine.
Overnight shifts focus on processing large shipments and preparing the store for opening. This may require lifting heavy items and operating equipment and operating pallet jacks. The position demands physical activity and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
