Receiver/Stocker

About the Role

Ace Hardware Stockers and Receivers play a vital role in keeping our stores organized and ready for customers. As a Receiver/Stocker, you are responsible for the backbone of our retail operations: receiving shipments, unloading trucks, and organizing inventory, and ensuring the sales floor is well-stocked and visually appealing.

This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy physical activity, organization, and working behind the scenes to support the team and customers. Whether you are stocking shelves, building product displays, or maintaining product displays, performing inventory counts, or keeping the warehouse and sales floor organized, this role offers a dynamic environment where no two days are exactly the same.

Day in the Life

Your day will involve a mix of warehouse and floor duties. You will receive and process incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. This includes unloading trucks, inspecting goods, and moving inventory to the stockroom. You will then organize the stockroom for easy access and efficiency.

A significant part of the role involves stocking shelves and building product displays to ensure products are visible and accessible to customers. You will also perform inventory counts to maintain accurate stock levels and keep the warehouse and sales floor clean and organized.

Shift Information

This position may involve overnight shifts, which focus on large shipments, extensive stocking, and preparing the store for opening the store for the next day's operations. Overnight shifts may include an additional pay differential depending on location.

Physical Requirements

This role requires the ability to lift heavy items and operate equipment such as pallet jacks. It is a physically active position that keeps you moving throughout your shift.
