About the Role

Ace Hardware Stockers and Receivers play a vital role in maintaining the operational backbone of our retail environment. As a Receiver/Stocker, you are responsible for the critical flow of goods from delivery to display, ensuring that our shelves are stocked and our warehouse is organized. This position is essential for keeping the store ready for customers and supporting the overall sales floor operations.

Day in the Life

Your day will involve a variety of physical and organizational tasks. You will receive shipments, unload trucks, and organize inventory in the stockroom. A key part of the role involves stocking shelves and building product displays to ensure products are visible and accessible. You will also perform inventory counts and maintain the organization of both the warehouse and the sales floor.

For those working overnight shifts, the focus shifts to handling large shipments and preparing the store for the next day. This includes extensive stocking and organizing tasks that ensure the store opens in a well-stocked and orderly condition. The role may require lifting heavy items and operating equipment and operating pallet jacks, so physical stamina and attention to safety are important.

Overnight stocking shifts may include an additional $1–$2 per hour overnight pay differential, depending on location.
