About the Role
Ace Hardware Stockers and Receivers play a vital role in maintaining the operational flow of the store. This position is responsible for ensuring that inventory is received, organized, and available for customers. The role involves a mix of warehouse management and sales floor support, requiring attention to detail and physical stamina.
Day in the Life
Stockers and Receivers handle the receipt of shipments, which includes unloading trucks and organizing inventory in the stockroom. A key part of the role is stocking shelves and building product displays to ensure the sales floor is attractive and organized. The position also involves performing inventory counts to maintain accurate stock levels.
Overnight shifts focus on managing large shipments and preparing the store for opening the next day. This may require lifting heavy items and operating equipment such as pallet jacks. The role is essential for keeping both the warehouse and sales floor organized and ready for business.
