About the Role
Ace Hardware Stockers and Receivers play a vital role in keeping our stores organized and ready for customers. As a Receiver/Stocker, you are responsible for the backbone of our inventory management, ensuring that products flow smoothly from the truck to the shelf. Your work directly impacts the customer experience by maintaining an organized warehouse and sales floor.
Day in the Life
Your day involves a mix of physical activity and organizational tasks. You will receive shipments, unload trucks, and organize inventory in the stockroom. A key part of the role involves stocking shelves and building product displays to ensure items are visible and accessible. You will also perform inventory counts to maintain accurate stock levels.
For those working overnight shifts, the focus is on handling large shipments and preparing the store for opening the next day. This may require lifting heavy items and operating equipment and operating pallet jacks. The position is physically demanding and requires maintaining a high level of organization throughout the shift. Overnight shifts often focus on large shipments and stocking, ensuring the store is ready for the morning rush.
