Receiver/Stocker

About the Role

Ace Hardware Stockers and Receivers play a vital role in keeping our stores organized and ready for customers. As a Receiver/Stocker, you are responsible for the backbone of our retail operations: receiving shipments, unloading trucks, and organizing inventory, and ensuring the sales floor is well-stocked and visually appealing.

This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy physical activity, working independently, and maintaining an organized environment. Whether you are processing large overnight shipments or preparing the store for opening, your work ensures that customers have access to the products they need.

What You Will Do

In this role, you will engage in a variety of tasks that keep the store running smoothly. Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Receiving and unloading incoming shipments.
• Organizing inventory in the stockroom for efficient retrieval.
• Stocking shelves and building product displays to enhance the customer experience.
• Performing inventory counts to maintain accurate stock levels.
• Keeping the warehouse and sales floor clean and organized.

Overnight shifts focus heavily on large shipments and stocking, allowing you to prepare the store for the next day's business. This role may require lifting heavy items and operating equipment and operating pallet jacks, so physical stamina and attention to safety are key.

Compensation and Benefits

We value the hard work our team puts in. This position typically pays between $16 and $20 per hour. For those who prefer working overnight shifts, there is an additional pay differential of $1–$2 per hour, depending on location.
