About the Role
As a Resident Care Assistant on the day shift, you will serve as a vital link between our residents and their daily well-being. Working under the direction of a licensed nurse, your primary focus is assisting residents with activities of daily living and personal care. This role is about more than just tasks; it is about being a resident advocate who fosters dignity and comfort.
In this position, you will support residents with essential needs such as bathing, dressing, ambulating, and dining, while also assisting with instrumental activities like light housekeeping, laundry, and coordinating transportation. You will act as an ambassador to guests and off-campus visitors, ensuring that the environment remains safe, welcoming, and respectful. Your day will involve participating in resident-centered activity programs, monitoring health status, and collaborating with colleagues to maintain a supportive community atmosphere.
Hiring Process
Candidates must possess a current State of Connecticut CNA certificate. CPR certification is preferred. Selected applicants will undergo on-the-job training to ensure they are fully prepared to meet the unique needs of our residents and adhere to all safety and quality assurance protocols.
