About the Role
The Purchasing Coordinator serves as a vital support function within the Harris Health Medical Division, ensuring the seamless execution of the Harris County purchasing process. This role is designed for individuals who are knowledgeable about all phases of procurement and possess strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with internal departments, external vendors, and Purchasing Department personnel.
In this hybrid position, the coordinator supports multiple Buyers, Senior Buyers, and Contracts Administrators. The role requires a high level of organization and attention to detail, as the incumbent will handle critical documentation, data entry, and communication tasks that keep the purchasing pipeline moving efficiently. The position offers a flexible work schedule, allowing for a balance between office collaboration and remote work.

Requirements
- verifiedHigh School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- verifiedTwo (2) years of purchasing related experience
- verifiedAt least two (2) years of general business experience
- verifiedProficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- verifiedWorking proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint
- verifiedMinimum typing skill of 50-wpm
- verifiedPass a criminal history check
- verifiedPass a drug screen
