Our Pulmonary Rehabilitation team at Lee Health is a multidisciplinary group of experts dedicated to helping patients with chronic lung conditions improve breathing, endurance, and quality of life. The team includes respiratory therapists, physical therapists, exercise specialists, and clinical educators, all working closely with physicians to create individualized care plans. Together, we provide supervised exercise, breathing techniques, education on lung health, and strategies to manage chronic lung disease, supporting patients and their families every step of the way.
As a Pulmonary Rehab Exercise Physiologist, you will be the driving force behind delivering and documenting care for Pulmonary Rehab Phase II and Phase III outpatients. Your day will involve assessing patient needs and diagnoses, planning and implementing tailored interventions, and evaluating outcomes to ensure patients achieve their personal health goals. You will direct and coordinate care based on established practice standards outlined by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation, demonstrating proficiency in core competencies.
In this collaborative environment, you will apply your knowledge of guidelines, standards, and reimbursement to support high-quality care. You will work alongside other professional disciplines to ensure efficient, effective care delivery, contributing to Lee Health's mission by applying an understanding of patients' age, cultural diversity, and individual needs. You will also actively support quality improvement and customer service initiatives, using performance improvement techniques to enhance patient care and outcomes.
