Nationwide is a dynamic organization enabling a Fortune 100 company with nearly $70 billion in annual sales to drive innovation and deliver business results. At Nationwide, "on your side" goes beyond just words; our customers are at the center of everything we do. We are looking for associates who are passionate about delivering extraordinary care and ensuring a safe, secure environment for our workforce and visitors.
As an Armed Protective Services Officer, you will contribute to the secure and safe environment at Nationwide-owned buildings and surrounding campuses. You may be called upon to intervene in situations posing imminent risk of harm, utilizing judgment, de-escalation techniques, and, if necessary, firearms or tasers to protect life and property. Your day-to-day activities include writing incident reports, conducting follow-up investigations, assisting with the training of new officers, and providing associate escorts.
Candidates must meet all required training standards and maintain annual firearm licensure and/or taser qualifications. The selection process includes a criminal background check, a Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI) psychological assessment to determine fitness for duty, and a pre-employment and biennial physical evaluation.
