This Project Engineer position is based at Grand Forks Air Force Base in Grand Forks, North Dakota. The role serves as a critical liaison between the government and construction teams, overseeing the full lifecycle of federal construction projects from initial planning through execution and closeout. You will act as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, ensuring that project milestones are met while maintaining strict adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
The day-to-day involves managing complex project plans, schedules, and budgets while coordinating with architects, engineers, and contractors. You will review contract documents, technical submittals, and shop drawings to ensure compliance with specifications. A significant portion of the role focuses on quality control, conducting regular inspections and audits to address issues before they impact the project timeline. You will also prepare detailed correspondence regarding contractor performance, Requests for Information (RFIs), and Requests for Equitable Adjustments (REAs), while assisting in contract modifications and government estimate preparations.
