About the Role
Our Smart Buildings help to create efficient, safe, adaptable, and responsible environments. Our aim isn’t just about improving buildings; it’s about creating perfect places that improve people’s lives. As a Project Developer, you will play a key role in this mission by working with sales, energy engineers, and project managers to develop cost-effective performance-based contracts for targeted clients. You will conduct facility site visits, analyze the customers' current situations, and produce plans for Facility Improvement Measures (FIMs).

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleDevelop cost-effective performance-based contracts for targeted clients
- check_circleConduct facility site visits and analyze customer situations
- check_circlePerform preliminary and detailed facility audits to identify opportunities
- check_circleCoordinate and lead facility site visits
- check_circleCommunicate with outside vendors regarding FIMs
- check_circleDevelop preliminary and final performance contracting proposals
- check_circleAnalyze blueprints and perform site surveys to determine operational characteristics
- check_circleApply energy simulation programs to develop building models
- check_circleDevelop design concepts for recommended FIMs including cost estimates
- check_circleProduce plans for Facility Improvement Measures (FIMs)
- check_circlePrepare financial models for repayment, ROI, and IRR
- check_circleAssist sales in identifying and qualifying potential projects
Requirements
- verifiedBachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- verified5+ years demonstrated experience in energy
- verifiedValid driver's license with limited violations
- verifiedLegally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
- verifiedCertified Energy Manager (CEM) or Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred
- verified10+ years energy industry experience supporting performance-based projects preferred
- verifiedKnowledge of energy supply-side savings and evaluation of savings potential
- verifiedExperience with standard ASHRAE energy calculations and IMVP performance assurance methodologies
