Stantec is seeking a Project Controls Analyst with a solid background in project controls functions. The Project Controls Analyst is a key point of contact for numerous internal and external stakeholders. You will be responsible for all aspects of the position as outlined below.

This position is open to candidates throughout the Great Lakes, Midwest, Mountain or West regions.

Key Responsibilities

  • check_circleProvide budget, contract, and financial management support to Project Managers
  • check_circleAssist Project Managers with maintaining the life cycle of projects per client requirements
  • check_circleAudit project management reports for financial impacts and gross profit optimization
  • check_circleAssist Project Managers with monthly forecasts and financial estimates
  • check_circleSupport Project Managers with project enterprise structures like Work Breakdown Structures
  • check_circlePerform and manage all budget and cost control functions
  • check_circlePrepare month-end reports, variance reports, and ad hoc reports
  • check_circlePerform analytics and interpret project data for continuous improvement
  • check_circleComplete financial reconciliations as required
  • check_circleAdministrate Project Management Information Systems for budget and reporting
  • check_circleCoordinate with project accounting staff to ensure timely invoice submission

Requirements

  • verifiedRelevant technical college graduate or BS degree, or equivalent experience
  • verified3 years of experience in project/program controls, project management, or project accounting
  • verifiedExperience in all aspects of budget and cost controls, including budgeting, forecasting, and earned value management
  • verifiedUnderstanding of contract terms
  • verifiedWorking knowledge of project accounting methods and requirements
  • verifiedUnderstanding of principles and methods related to Earned Value Management
  • verifiedProficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically MS Excel
  • verifiedExperience with MS Project and SQL/SharePoint Applications is a plus
