About the Opportunity
Strategic Staffing Solutions is seeking a Project Controller for a 12+ month contract role based in Covington, LA. This position offers a hybrid work model, requiring some on-site presence, and is open to candidates eligible for W2 employment. Visa sponsorship is available for qualified applicants.
The Role
As a Project Controller, you will provide functional leadership and project controls expertise supporting a global Asset Retirement portfolio. This includes onshore, offshore, and legacy assets such as decommissioning, remediation, and abandonment projects. You will serve as a trusted advisor, partnering closely with project teams, business units, and functional stakeholders to enable cost and schedule predictability, robust forecasting, and disciplined change management.
Your mission is to steward project controls standards while tailoring solutions to the unique risks and execution challenges of global asset retirement work. You will act as a key interface between leadership, project managers, finance, supply chain, and execution teams, ensuring consistent application of standards across regions.

Requirements
- verifiedBachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or related discipline
- verifiedSignificant experience in project controls and cost engineering
- verifiedExperience supporting portfolios or programs with multiple projects and stakeholders
- verifiedProfessional certifications (AACE, PMP, or equivalent) preferred
Nice to Have
Experience supporting asset retirement, decommissioning, remediation, or late-life asset portfolios. Familiarity with stage-gate project delivery systems. Experience with project controls and analytics tools such as EcoSys, SAP, or Power BI. Demonstrated ability to influence across global, cross-functional teams. Professional certifications (AACE, PMP, or equivalent).
