About the Role

In this high-acuity setting, you will provide evidence-based, patient-centered care to adults with complex, evolving conditions. As a Progressive Care Nurse, you will be the vital link in a dynamic care continuum, continuously assessing patients and responding rapidly to changes in their condition. Your day will involve a blend of clinical expertise and compassionate advocacy, ensuring that every patient receives safe, individualized treatment.

You will collaborate closely with physicians and an interdisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans, while also serving as a key educator for patients and families to support safe transitions home. Beyond direct patient care, you will play an active role in quality and safety initiatives, helping to drive performance improvement across the unit. Opportunities to precept new staff and orient team members will allow you to share your expertise and shape the next generation of nurses.
