The World Bank Group is a unique global partnership of five institutions driven by a bold vision to create a world free of poverty on a livable planet. As one of the largest sources of funding and knowledge for developing countries, we help solve the world's greatest development challenges. When you join the World Bank Group, you become part of a dynamic, diverse organization with 189 member countries and more than 130 offices worldwide. We work with public and private sector partners, invest in groundbreaking projects, and use data, research, and technology to bring tangible and transformative changes around the globe.
This position is based within the Development Finance Trust Funds and Partner Relations Department (DFTPR), which leads the Bank's engagement in Trust Funds, Financial Intermediary Funds (FIFs), co-financing, and partner relations. The department administers a portfolio of nearly US$70 billion in Trust Funds and FIFs, sets the policy and procedural framework governing these instruments, and plays a critical intermediation role between the Bank's operational units and its funding partners.
The Program Officer will work across DFTPR's three business lines (FIFs, Digital, and Analytics; Trust Funds Policy and Partner Relations; and Co-Financing), providing analytical, reporting, and coordination support on the department's policy, modernization, and digital enablement agenda. You will be expected to engage substantively across these lines, supporting the implementation of the strategic agenda, refining policy on Trust Funds and FIFs, and coordinating the modernization of standard reports. The role involves collaborating with counterparts across the organization to ensure outputs are accurate and accessible, while also working with the digital team on AI-enabled tools to enhance efficiency.
The World Bank Group fosters a culture defined by three core attributes: a sense of urgency to anticipate and quickly respond to stakeholder needs; thoughtful risk-taking to challenge the status quo and push boundaries for greater impact; and empowerment and accountability to act and hold each other accountable for results.
We are proud to be an equal opportunity and inclusive employer with a dedicated and committed workforce, and do not discriminate based on gender, gender identity, religion, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or disability.
