Miami University is a highly respected public institution recognized for outstanding undergraduate education and selective graduate and research programs. With a student body of over 16,000 undergraduates and approximately 2,000 graduate students at its Oxford campus, Miami effectively combines strong academic programs with the personal attention typically found only at smaller institutions. Graduate programs complement and enhance the undergraduate educational experience, creating a unique environment for student-centered, mission-driven leadership.
This is a unique opportunity for a connected and inspiring leader to shape the future of the Physician Associate Studies Program. Reporting to the Dean of the College of Arts and Science, the Program Director will serve as the strategic leader of the program, advancing excellence in education, strengthening partnerships, and cultivating a high-performing, collaborative culture that inspires faculty, staff, and students.
The Physician Associate Studies Program is a 27-month, master-level curriculum with provisional accreditation status through the ARC-PA, with a site visit scheduled for early 2027. The inaugural cohort began in May 2023, and the ongoing cohort size is 36 students. The program operates out of a state-of-the-art, purpose-built facility opened in 2023, featuring lecture spaces, a standardized examination space, a simulation center, a physical skills lab, a cadaver lab, and Anatomage tables. With strong institutional support and these advanced resources, the program is well-positioned for its next stage of evolution.
