As a Procedural Registered Nurse, you will work as a licensed professional using the nursing practice model to oversee patient care for the healthcare team. This role is designed to help patients navigate the healthcare system safely by understanding their unique needs, preventing complications, and ensuring timely care.
Your day will involve assessing patients, identifying nursing diagnoses for health issues, and developing personalized care plans. You will use careful clinical judgment to prioritize patient needs and adjust care strategies for better outcomes. A key part of your success involves teaching patients and staff, integrating education into care at all levels, and utilizing systems thinking to solve problems for patients, families, and staff.
This position requires a shift from Monday to Friday, 6:30 am to 3:00 pm. On-call coverage is also required when the department is closed (5:00 pm – 6:00 am M-F, and weekends from 12:00 pm Saturday to 6:00 am Monday), with frequency depending on the number of staff actively taking on-call duties.
