We are looking for a Principal or Sr Principal Systems Field Test Engineer to join our Field Engineering Integration & Test team. This is a long-term position based out of the Baltimore, MD area, with the primary assignment at Wallops Island, VA.
You will support the Surface Electronic Warfare Improvement Program (SEWIP) Block 3—an upgrade to the legacy AN/SLQ‑32 system that provides game-changing, non-kinetic electronic-attack capability for the U.S. fleet. This electronic-attack system delivers a soft-kill magazine to defeat inbound threats. In this role, you will serve as the Northrop Grumman primary technical point of contact (TPOC) on-site, acting as the liaison between customer site activities and the program. You will be responsible for hands-on integration, testing, and system operations, as well as troubleshooting and communicating technical findings.
This is a high-impact, field-intensive role. You must be flexible for shift work and willing to travel for extended periods (up to 10 months per year) to Wallops Island, VA. The position involves working outdoors in varied weather conditions, operating at heights or in confined spaces, and maintaining a physical presence at customer facilities.
The application period for this job is estimated to be 20 days from the posting date, though this timeline may be shortened or extended depending on business needs and the availability of qualified candidates. U.S. Citizenship and a current/active DoD Secret clearance are required to apply.
