About the Role
We are looking for a Principal Consultant – Utilities Civil Litigation to provide strategic direction, manage client relationships, and oversee complex litigation cases within the utilities sector. This person will be responsible for providing expert guidance and strategic support to clients in the utility sector facing civil litigation and other legal challenges.
The role involves analyzing complex legal issues, developing case strategies, and offering valuable insight to help clients navigate legal proceedings successfully. You will conduct in-depth legal research and analysis, provide oversight for client engagement projects, and collaborate with attorneys, legal teams, and other experts to strengthen client deliverables and outcomes. Additionally, you may be required to provide expert witness testimony and analysis.
We are open to hiring this person for our Washington, DC office, our Marlborough, Massachusetts headquarters, or remotely across the United States. Depending on the level hired, the base salary for this role will typically start at $200,000 plus annual incentive compensation bonus.

Requirements

- verified10+ years’ experience in energy utility space
- verifiedProven ability to generate consulting services sales
- verifiedExperience writing or providing expert witness testimony for utility rate cases
- verifiedStrong communication and presentation skills
- verifiedProficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- verifiedAbility to present complex ideas to utility leadership
- verifiedOccasional travel to client sites and regulatory hearings
