We are seeking a passionate educator to join our faculty in a local position for teachers on detachment or availability, subject to vacancy. Please note that the employer is the school's governing body, not the Mission Laïque Française.
About the Role
The Primary Homeroom Teacher (French) is responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment that fosters academic, social, and emotional growth in primary students. In this part-time capacity, you will effectively teach multiple subjects including math, reading, writing, science, and social studies. Your day will involve planning and implementing engaging lessons aligned with curriculum standards, assessing student progress, and differentiating instruction to meet individual needs.
You will play a key role in supporting the implementation of the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), executing all program requirements in support of authorization and evaluation. Beyond the classroom, you will foster cross-cultural understanding within the curriculum, incorporating cultural elements into lessons to encourage empathy and respect for different cultures. You will also build strong relationships with students and families, communicating regularly about progress and organizing parent-teacher conferences.

Additional qualifications: CAFIPEMF, CPAIEN, Temporary Host Teacher (Maître d'accueil temporaire), or EMFE. Demonstrated digital proficiency in current tools and platforms (electronic gradebooks, Learning Management Systems, online learning platforms, digital portfolios, AI assisted technology, etc.).
